Doug Campbell - Veterinary Technician

picture of Old York Veterinary technician Doug Campbell.I joined the staff of Old York Veterinary Hospital in October of 2016. Prior to this I proudly served in the United States Coast Guard for five years as an EMT and a marine diesel technician.

I am honored to be an Eagle Scout. Presently, I am taking classes toward a degree as a Certified Veterinary Technician through Cedar Valley College. I hope to further advance my CVT career through specializing in surgery. In my free time, I enjoy fishing with my Bloodhound, Duke and working on my car or motorcycle.

Kayla Garey - Veterinary Technician

picture of Old York Veterinary technician Kayla Garey.I joined the Old York Veterinary Hospital team with over seven years of experience in the veterinary field, having worked in both emergency and general practice settings. My love for animals began in childhood, sparked by the classic films that brought their stories to life—and it quickly grew into a lifelong passion.

At OYVH, I’m grateful for the opportunity to combine my clinical experience with my love for compassionate care, helping both pets and their families feel supported every step of the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and baking, and I still find time to teach ballet and stay active in the dance community. I’m also involved in volunteer work, which is deeply fulfilling. Most of all, I cherish spending time with my wonderful fiancé and our three beloved pets—our senior cats, Cooper (a gray tabby) and Lady (a calico), as well as our spirited wire-haired dachshund, Buckshot.
