What to Expect During Your Visit
When you arrive at Old York Veterinary Hospital, our reception team will welcome you and check you in for your appointment. One of our veterinary technicians will gather important information about your pet’s medical history and any concerns you may have.
Your pet will then receive a comprehensive physical examination by one of our veterinarians. During the visit, we will review your pet’s health history, discuss any medical concerns, and recommend appropriate preventive care, diagnostics, or treatment if needed.
We believe in clear communication and collaborative decision-making, and we encourage pet owners to ask questions and participate in the care of their pets.
Your Pet’s First Visit
During your pet’s first appointment, we will take time to learn about your pet’s medical history, lifestyle, and any current health concerns. If your pet has previously been seen at another veterinary hospital, we encourage you to bring any available medical records
or have them sent to us before your appointment.
The first visit typically includes:
-A complete physical examination
-Review of medical history and previous records
-Discussion of preventive care, vaccinations, and wellness testing
-Time to discuss any questions or concerns about your pet’s health
Our goal is to develop a clear understanding of your pet’s health and establish a personalized care plan moving forward.
To help make your visit as smooth as possible, we encourage new clients to complete our New Client Forms prior to their appointment.
